Here is where the Enfield housing market stands heading into fall. The figures below cover ZIP code 06082, which includes Thompsonville, Hazardville and most of Enfield. Additional Market Measures
Closed sales — Redfin: $356,346
- Median sale price: $356,346 over the three months ending August 2026, up 4.3% year over year
- Homes sold in August: 169, up from 140 a year earlier (+20.6%)
- Median sale price per sq ft: $209, up 1.5%
- Median days on market: 15 days, 4 fewer than last year
Home values — Zillow: $338,532
- Typical home value (ZHVI): $338,532 as of August 31, 2026
- Change: up 5.3% from $321,480 in August 2025
Why the numbers differ: each provider measures something different. Realtor.com's listing price is what sellers are asking. Redfin's sale price is what homes actually sold for. Zillow's value is a modeled estimate for a typical home, whether or not it's for sale. Days on market also differ: Realtor.com counts how long current listings have been up (43 days), while Redfin counts how long sold homes took to go under contract (15 days).
Local Town Data: Property Taxes
For fiscal year 2026–27, the Enfield Town Council set the real estate and business personal property mill rate at 33.11 mills, up 1.61 mills from 31.5. The motor vehicle rate is 29.21 mills. Property owners also pay the tax rate of one of Enfield's five fire districts, depending on where the property is.
Rough example: Connecticut assesses property at 70% of market value. A home selling at the Realtor.com median of $353,000 would be assessed at about $247,100. At 33.11 mills, that works out to roughly $8,181 a year in town property tax, plus the fire district tax. Your actual bill depends on the Assessor's valuation, not the sale price. The Town's Tax Calculator can give you an exact figure.
For Buyers & Sellers
Before setting a budget or a price, compare recent nearby sales, the home's condition and the total monthly cost of owning it: mortgage, property and fire district taxes, insurance and utilities. With more listings on the market than a year ago but homes still selling near or above asking, pricing it right and acting quickly both matter.
